I once burned a gallon of homemade orange marmalade because of a crying 2 year old - all within that precious 2 minutes...

Odie - I thought Pepper Jelly was a PA thing but am finding out so many people love it!

Sara - now, now... like I used to tell my kids when they were little, just one 'no thank-you' taste?

Nancy - Both the pepper jelly and the sauerkraut are new for me. I love the way the jelly turned out, now I just have to wait for the fermentation of the cabbage to try the kraut.. I'm crossing my fingers and will let you know how it gets.

Kate - YES! You could make a batch and refrigerate, rather than can it.The Good Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01249986191289837440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9071135032060260965.post-31080842421963773532010-08-02T13:42:05.076-04:002010-08-02T13:42:05.076-04:00Pepper jelly! My grandmother and great aunts spent many hours making sauerkraut for the whole family. It was always a treat to get one or two jars of the delicious stuff. Store bought has never been the same for me. I must try this sometime.

I love your blog!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13178290697351352495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9071135032060260965.post-79391111110326358302010-08-01T18:32:51.873-04:002010-08-01T18:32:51.873-04:00OH .. yuck sorry but pepper jelly and hate.. sauer...OH .. yuck sorry but pepper jelly and hate.. sauerkraut. My problem is trying to do anything like this will insure an interruption while I am open ...... and when I close for the night I am just too tired to tackle much more than a quick dinner, then clean bathrooms, mow til dark and other outside chores. One day when I retire ........Kathy's Klotheslinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17881966393157941515noreply@blogger.com
